Who We Are
Ottomate IT is a managed service provider (MSP) and managed security services provider (MSSP) based in the Washington DC metro area, serving small and medium-sized businesses, federal contractors, and high-value residential clients across Washington DC, Maryland, Virginia, and the entire United States.
Our team is staffed by certified cyber professionals with decades of experience defending critical infrastructure for U.S. government agencies. That’s not marketing language — that’s the actual background of the engineers who will touch your environment.
Why We Exist
The IT industry has spent twenty years drawing an artificial line between “IT” and “cybersecurity.” Break/fix shops keep the lights on. MSPs manage the tickets. MSSPs watch the dashboards. And somewhere in the middle, small and medium businesses are left paying two or three vendors — none of whom fully own the problem — just to get a baseline that any federal network would consider mandatory.
It shouldn’t be this expensive or this complicated to retain top-notch cybersecurity talent across every IT process — not just the parts labeled “security.” Helpdesk tickets, patching, onboarding, email, backups, and cloud administration all have security implications. Treating them as separate disciplines is how breaches happen.
